The Brewers Art
(short notes)

Baltimore, Maryland

All beers sampled at the brewpub the night of September 2, 1997. A memorable evening in the company of Michael Stewart and Jim Busch.

Wit Belgian Wit * * * 1/2
Nice citruisy note up front, good coriander, nice lactic note. Altogether a very good example of the classic Wit style.

House Pale Belgian Pale * * * *
An excellent DeKonick clon. Nice clean ferment, a clean hop profile. This makes for an excellent session beer at 1.040 OG.

Ozzy ??? * * *
I wasn't sure how to classify this beer, so we're in full hedonistic mode. At 16.5 plato (around 1.066) this beer has a nice presence, and it seems to be spiced with curacao and coriander. I didn't notice any alcohol notes, nor were there any esters. Similar to Celis Grand Cru?
