a smooth drinking hoppy english style amber ale. i was trying for something kinda like whitbread pale ale. this is pretty far from it but i almost like it better because i made it myself. please let me know if you make it peace.


Recipe type: Extract
Batch Size: 5 gallons
Starting Gravity: ?
Finishing Gravity: ?
Time in Boil: 60 minutes
Primary Fermentation: 2 weeks plastic
Secondary Fermentation: 2 weeks glass
Additional Fermentation: 3 weeks bottle



steep grains 20 minutes then bring to a boil and remove. add malt extracts, water treatment, brown suger and1/2 an ounce each af hops to the boil.add the last 1/2 onunce of challenger and 1 tsp irish moss with 15 minutes remaining in the boil.steep the last 1/2 ounce of goldings without heat for 20 and pitch your yeast.
