This beer was brewed for a contest but never made it to the show. definately the best beer I have ever made. But WOW what a kick.

Recipe type: Extract
Batch Size: 5 Gallons
Starting Gravity: 1.108
Finishing Gravity: 1.028
Time in Boil: 90 minutes
Primary Fermentation: 10 days glass
Secondary Fermentation: 30 days glass
Ingredients:
- 10 Pounds alexander's pale malt extract
- 3.75 pounds m&f dry light malt extract
- .5 pounds carapils
- .25 pounds crystal 40L
- .25 carastan 40L

- 2 OZ EKG Boiling
- 1.25 EKG Flavor

- White Labs Edinburgh Ale Yeast
Procedure:
Steeped grains in 2 gal of 150 deg. water for 20 min
Brought to a boil and added malt extracts
Returned to boil boiled 30 min and added boiling hops
Boiled 15 more min added flavor hops
Boiled 45 min cooled to 70 deg
Pitched 2 quart starter
Fermented 10 days@ 68 deg F
Transfered to secondary and fermented an additional 30 days
Bottled with .75 cup corn sugar
