This recipe was designed following my trip to Southern England where I got to sample the real stuff. This is a very accurate and traditional Mild recipe. Try it out. Milds are very hard to find in the USA. A perfect beer for the hot summer months. In England, traditionally only served in May. Cheers!

Procedure:

Steep grains in 1.5 gallons of water at 152F for 30 min. Add liquor to 5 gallons of boiling water along with extracts. Boil 10 minutes. Add 1/2 oz. Cascade for 30 min. Add 1/2 oz. Cascade and 1/2 oz. of Fuggles for 30 min. Add 1 tbsp. of Irish Moss 15 min. before end of boil. Kill heat and add the Styrian. Top up with filtered water to attain a 1.038 OG. Pitch 14g Whitbread Ale Yeast when cool. Prime with 2/3 cup of corn sugar for that authentic cask-conditioned carbonation. How sweet it is!
