This turned out to be the favorite of my freinds who buy their beer in stores
Specifics
Recipe type: All Grain
Batch Size: 10 gal
Starting Gravity: 1.048
Finishing Gravity: 1.002
Time in Boil: 1 hr 30 min
Primary Fermentation: 2 weeks
Secondary Fermentation: 2 weeks
Ingredients:
- 17 lbs 2 row pale malt
- 2 lbs crystal malt 40 l
- 3 oz Northern Brewers whole hops 6.7% a
- 1 oz Cascade whole hops (finishing)
- 2 tablespoons Irish Moss ( last 15 min of boil)
- 2 tablespoons Gypsum
- 2 pkgs Glenbrew Secret Brewers Yeast, (in starter culture)
Procedure:
Mash temp 158 degrees for 1 hr 35 min
Sparge water temp. 170 degrees, sparge time 1 hr 10 min
go slow when sparging to achive best yeild
add N.B. HOPS after 1 st break
add Cascade Hops last 15-20 min
