Pils malt, noble hops, yeast strain and cold fermentation are all important to the style. This is an excellent summer thirst quencher and I believe it's close to style although the starting gravity may have been somewhat on the high side.

Starting Gravity: 1.048
Finishing Gravity: 1.011
Time in Boil: 60 min.
Primary Fermentation: 14 days at 65oC
Secondary Fermentation: 28 days at 65oC

Mash in w/ 2 1/2 gallons @ 64oC and let rest at 55oC for 30 minutes, add 5 qts. boiling water tobring up to 65oC and rest for 60 minutes, sparge until volume in kettle is 6 gallons. Boil for 15 minutes then add 3/4 oz hops, boil 30 more minutes then add another 3/4 oz hops, boils 20 more minutes then add the final 3/4 oz hops, boil for 10 more minutes and turn off heat. Whirlpool with a wooden spoon for 1 minute, then cover for 20 minutes to settle. Cool (I use a counterflow chiller) and pitch yeast.
