This was my first attempt at a partial mash.I think it turned out o.k.I'm having a hard time deciding whether this is a brown ale or a brown porter but, either way it tastes great!

Specifics

Recipe type: Partial Mash
Batch Size: 5 gallons
Starting Gravity: 1050
Finishing Gravity: 1020
Time in Boil: 45 minutes
Primary Fermentation: 6 days
Secondary Fermentation: 7 days

Procedure:

Heat grains and water to cover to 160 degrees and hold for 1 hour.Rinse with 170 degree water until it runs clear.Bring runoff to boil and add extracts and hops.Boil 45 minutes.
