This was my first attempt at a wheat beer and believe it or not this recipe is my own invention so I wasn't sure how it was going to turn out. My wife, who usually doesn't like homebrews, even liked it. I did start the yeast the day before which helped alot.

Batch Size: 5 gal
Starting Gravity: 1.040
Finishing Gravity: 1.011
Time in Boil: 45 min
Primary Fermentation: ~68 deg
Secondary Fermentation: none
Additional Fermentation: none
Ingredients:
- 3 lb Glen Brew Wheat Extract
- 2 lb Plain Wheat Dry Malt (55% wheat, 45% barley)
- 1 lb Briess Flaked Wheat (Pregelatinized )
- 1 oz German Select Hops 4.4 alpha acid
- 1 pkg. Doric Ale Yeast
Procedure:
Steep flaked wheat until water boils then remove and rinse with about a cup of water. Add extract, malt and hops and boil for 45 min. Pitch yeast at 68 deg.
