This is a recipe that I came up with in honor of a new house that I am building. It was inspired by "BUZZ BEER". Anyone that watches "The Drew Carey Show" will know about Buzz Beer. Other than the Coffee it is just a basic Bock style beer. Try it you'll like it, and as a bonus it gets better with age
Specifics
Recipe type: Extract
Batch Size: 5 gal
Starting Gravity: 1.5
Finishing Gravity: 1.2
Time in Boil: 60 min
Primary Fermentation: 7 days
Ingredients:
- 4# light extract 4# Amber extract (BULK is Good & Cheap)
- 1/2 # Chocolate MAlt (Grain)
- 2 oz Tettnang hops (3%oz)boiling 1 oz finishing
- 1 cup Ground Coffee
Procedure:
Add 1 gallon cold water & bag of chocolate malt. When boiling remove grain. Add all of malt extract & boiling hops, continue to boil for 1 hour. Add Finishing Hops & if desired 1/4 tsp Irish Moss (Makes for Clearer product) last 15 minutes. Boil coffee ( or make in pot) with 2 cups water, and add just before pitching yeast.
Bottle when Fermentation stops, with 3/4 cup Brewers sugar.
