Cut the crystal in half to produce an IPA. Great clean lightly carbonated, highly hopped and kick the pants tating beer. Produces a pretty red beer.

Ingredients:
- 3 lbs Muntons Light DME
- 1 lb Muntons 60? Crystal
- 2 lbs Marris Otter Pale Malt
- 1 oz Target Pellets 8.1%
- 1 oz Northern Brewer plug 7.5%
- 1/2 oz East Kent Golding pellets 5%
- 3/4 tsp gypsum
- British Wyeast #1098
- 1/2 cup corn sugar (for priming)
Procedure:
Toast 1/2 lb Barley 10 minutes at 350?. Add all grains and gypsum to 1 1/2 gallon of water for 40 minutes at ~155?. Dump grain bag into colander and sparge with 1 1/2 gallon of water. Add DME and Target hops and boil for 10 minutes. Add Northern Brewer and continue to boil for 45 minutes.Add 1 oz East Kent Golding. Boil for 8 minutes. Rack and raise level to 3 gallons. After cooled pitch yeast.
