Millenium Oatmeal Stout

This beer turned out to be similar to Samuel Smiths, however it had a less robust flavor and more body (may want to add some more Black Patent or Chocolate Malt if that is what you are looking for). It was also comparable to a Young's Oatmeal Stout with more body.
This beer tasted the best just a few weeks after it was bottled. 7 months down the road some of the flavors began to fade a little.

Batch Size: 5 gallons
Starting Gravity: 1.062
Finishing Gravity: 1.016
Time in Boil: 60 min
Primary Fermentation: 15 days
Secondary Fermentation: 11 days
Additional Fermentation: bottle conditioning
Ingredients:
- 9 # Amber DME
- 1/2 # Black Patent Malt (cracked)
- 1/2 # Roasted Barley (cracked)
- 1/2 # Chocolate Malt (cracked)
- 1 # Steel Cut Oats
- 2 oz. Eroica Hop Pellets
- 1 oz Fuggle Hop Pellets
- Brittish Ale WYeast#1098
- 3/4 cup Priming Sugar
Procedure:
1)Boil 2 gal of water
2)Steep all of the grains and the steel cut oats for 45 min at 158-9F
3)Add the malt extracts and boil for 60 min
-Add 2 oz. eroica hops at the beginning of the boil
-Add 1 oz. fuggle hops 5 min from the end of the boil
4)Cool the wort to 70F and pitch the yeast
5)Transfer to secondary fermenter
6)Add priming sugar and bottle
