This is based very loosely on Racoon Lager. It's one of my (and my friends') favorite recipes, although I don't always stick with it "as is". This version is a bit lighter hopped than other versions, but still quite good. The SG readings may be a bit off - my old hydrometer was an inaccurate POS which has since been replaced.

When boil begins, add 2 oz of Cascade hops. 45 minutes later add in the other 1 oz of Cascades and a Whirlfloc tablet. Pour the hot wort into a carboy of cold water, and top it off to about 5 gallons with more cold water. Pitch the yeast when it cools down to the appropriate temp. Bottle using 1.5 cups of light DME.
