I had a housefull of friends over during Octoberfest weekend
and two corny kegs lasted one weekend.
Friends said that it rivaled Paulaner, and was better than Sam Adams.

Recipe type: All Grain
Batch Size: 5 gal
Starting Gravity: 1076
Finishing Gravity: 1018
Time in Boil: 90 minutes
Primary Fermentation: 2 weeks in glass
Secondary Fermentation: 4-6 weeks in glass
Additional Fermentation: 2 months 35-37 degrees
Ingredients:
- 6 lbs. Dark Munich (melanoidin)
- 3 lbs. Vienna malt (home cured)
- 2 lbs light munich
- 2 lbs (cara-b) crystal malt
- 1 tbs. calcium carbonate
- 1 0z. hallertau hops (60 min)
- 2 oz. hallertau hops (45 min)
- 1 oz. hallertau hops (15 min)
- 1/2 oz. plug hersbrucker hallertau hops (strike)
- wyeast bavarian lager (2206)
Procedure:
Mash in 4.5 gals. water @ 125 degrees 5.5 ph
protein rest 30 @ 122 degrees
starch conversion 45 min @ 155 degrees
mash out 5 min @ 168 degrees
sparge 5 gal. water @ 168 degress
boil 90 minutes
3 hop additions (60-45-15)
add hop plug when boil is done
