"Would?" RWCG Black Cherry Slapshot Stout

One word, WOW!! This recipe was an idea of a friend of mine. I put it to good use and now we have created a monster!! If you like chocolate covered cherries or black cherry soda, this will be to your definite liking. I can't seem to get enough of this brew and I hope you won't either. CHEERS!!

Ingredients:

Procedure:

Bring 1 quart water to a boil and add grains and steep for 20 minutes off heat. Add malt extract, hops, finings and grain mixture to 1 gallon of water and bring to a boil. Boil for 1 hour. After 1 hour, remove from heat and add cherries, crushed pits and all and allow to steep for 1 hour. In seperate container, add Kool-Aid packets and saccahrin tablets to 1/2 gallon of warm water and mix well and add to wort. After one hour, sparge and allow to cool to 80 degrees Fahrenheit. Add wort to fermenter with 3 1/2 gallons of cool water stir and add yeast. Seal fermenter and allow to ferment for 8 days. Bottle, sweat and ENJOY!!
