I wasn't a real fan of IPA's until I tried this recipe my friend suggested...with my own variation. This is really a great beer and hope you'll enjoy it as well as I do!! ENJOY!!

Ingredients:
- 3.3 lbs. Amber Malt Extract
- 3.3 lbs. Light Malt Extract
- 1 lb. Crushed Crystal Malt
- 1 lb. Dried Light Malt Extract
- 1 lb. Toasted Pale Malt
- 1 oz. Hallertauer Hop Pellets (boiling)
- 1 oz. Cascade Hop Pellets (boiling)
- 1/2 oz. Tettnanger Hop Pellets (finishing)
- 1/2 oz. Hallertauer Hop Pellets (finishing)
- 1 oz. Finings
- 1 lb. Corn Sugar (bottling)
- 2 oz. Sanitized Oak Wood Chips
Procedure:
First, in 1/2 gallon boiling water, add crushed grain to the boiling water and remove from heat and let stand for 40 minutes. In one gallon of boiling water, add malt extract, crushed grain mixture after removing grains, boiling hops and finings to brewpot and boil for 1 hour. Sparge the hops and any left over grains from wort. and let stand and cool for 15 minutes. In fermenter, add 3 1/2 gallons of cool water. After 15 minutes, add wort to water in the fermenter while dry hopping the finishing in an old piece of cheesecloth. Add the wood chips by sprinkling them on top of the wort in the fermenter. Ferment for 8 days. Sparge the wood chips and any hops from beer and bottle. Wait 3 weeks and ENJOY!!
