A classic ESB that anyone can enjoy. A favorite beer of mine to keep on hand.

Batch Size: 5 gallons
Starting Gravity: 1.062
Finishing Gravity: 1.017
Time in Boil: 60 mins
Primary Fermentation: 8 days
Secondary Fermentation: 3 days
Ingredients:
- 6 lbs Light Dry malt extract
- 1/2 lb English Crystal Malt
- 1/2 lb Cara Vienne malt
- 1/8 lb Special B malt
- 1 oz East Kent Goldings hops-60 min
- 1 oz Willamette hops-20 min
- 1 oz Willamette Whole hops-5 min steep
- 1/2 tsp Irish moss
- Wyeast #1028
- 1 cup corn sugar-bottling
Procedure:
Place crushed grains in sack, immerse in 1 1/2 gals cold water. bring to 170°, hold 20 mins. Rinse grains with 2 qt hot water, bring to boil. Add malt extract and hops as noted. Remove from heat, strain hops. Pour into carboy with 2 gals cold water. Ferment to completion, rack to secondary and bottle.
