Another very hoppy NW style pale ale. This is another one for true hop heads. You'll love it!

Recipe type: Partial Mash
Batch Size: 5 gal.
Starting Gravity: 1.054
Finishing Gravity: 1.013
Time in Boil: 60 min.
Primary Fermentation: 7 days
Secondary Fermentation: 7 days
Additional Fermentation: 21 day bottle carbonation
Ingredients:
- 6 lbs. extra light dry malt extract
- 2 lbs. 2 row pale malt
- 1 lb. 40L crystal malt
- 2 oz. Cascade hops (60 min.)
- 2 oz. Cascade hops (30 min.)
- 2 oz. Cascade hops (last 5 min.)
- White Labs California Ale yeast
Procedure:
Single step mash of the grains with 3 quarts of water at 152 degrees for 1 hour. Then sparge with 6 more quarts at 170. Add this to 3 gal. of boiling water and the extracts. Follow listed hop schedule. (Irish moss, gypsum,yeast pitching,and wort chilling as you normally would)
