The Baltimore Beer Guide
Welcome to Baltimore, Hon! If you're a beer drinker (and I guess
that you must be if you're here), you are in some serious luck.
Baltimore is a good place to drink beer. We've got plenty of
good
brewpubs,
microbreweries,
taverns, and
retail stores.
If you're planning to spend some time in other parts of
our region, you might want to check out the beer guides for
nearby areas:
Washington, D.C.
Delaware
Info about local regulations, photos and
maps in this guide, and credits is available.
Events
The excellent beers of local Baltimore craft brewers are often
featured at beer festivals throughout the mid-Atlantic region. These
include:
- May 24, 1997 City Paper's Maryland Micro Brew
Festival
Proceeds benefit Great Blacks in Wax Museum. Cost is $10. Held at
Baltimore Brewing, 104 Albemarle St.
- June 1, 1997 Maryland Brew Review
Proceeds benefit Lupus Foundation. Held at Parrot Island, 701 S.
Eden St. (Fells Point)
- September 1997 Mid-Atlantic Beer & Food
Festival
Proceeds benefit Mid-Atlantic Craft Brewers Association. Street
festival held at 10th & H Streets N.W. in Washington D.C.
Homebrew Corner
If
you're more the homebrewer type, well, we've got some
local
clubs that you might want to contact and some nice
homebrew
supply shops.
