This is very strong, robust beer. It was made for Christmas 1998. It shares many of the characteristics of Anchor Brewing's Christmas Ale. Drink in moderation, enjoy!

Batch Size: 5.5
Starting Gravity: 1.050
Finishing Gravity: 1.012
Time in Boil: 1 Hour
Primary Fermentation: 7 Days
Secondary Fermentation: 14 Days
Additional Fermentation: Bottle Condition 2 weeks
Ingredients:
- 1 lb Crytsal 20L
- 2 lb Honey
- 6.5 lb Briess Golden Extract
- .25 lb Chocolate Malt

- 2 oz. Styrian-Goldings 4.0 AAU
- 1 oz. Cascade 5.3 AAU

- Wyeast #1084 with one pint starter prepared
- 14 hours before pitching.
Procedure:
Rosted crushed grains @ 250 degrees for 10 minutes. Steeped grains and removed before boil insued. Add extract and 1 oz. Goldings at boil's inception. Add second oz. of Goldings 30 minutes into boil. Add Cascade with 2 minutes remaining in boil. Cool and pitch.
