Finishing Gravity: 1.029
Time in Boil: 60 minutes
Primary Fermentation: 9 days
Secondary Fermentation: 14 days
Ingredients:
- 1 pound 60* british crystal malt
- 1 pound 10* british crystal malt
- 6.6 pounds lite dry malt extract
- 3/4 pound wheat extract
- 4 cups honey
- 1 1/2 oz. challenger hop pellets
- 1 1/2 oz. kent golding hop pellets
- wyeast 1084
Procedure:
Steap the crushed grains in 1.5 gallons of water for 55 minutes. add malt extracts, the honey and enough water to bring total volume to 6 gallons. bring to a boil and add 1 oz. each of the hop pellets, boil for 45 minutes. add the other 1/2 ozs. of the hops and 1tsp. of irish moss, boil for 15 minutes. cool to 70* and pitch the yeast(yeast packet was popped and added to 2 cups of starter wort).
